Mark H. Griesbaum recently joined Cardean Learning Group on 3/17/08 as Chief Information Officer. Prior to Cardean, Mark was Chief Information Officer at Career Education Corporation from March 2000 – March 2008. Mr. Griesbaum’s award-winning leadership was recently recognized by Computerworld Magazine, where he was recognized as one of Computerworld’s “Premier 100 IT Leaders 2006.” His appointment as CIO of Career Education Corporation marked his first position in the education industry. Mr. Griesbaum led a staff of over 220 professionals that work closely with the Presidents and staff at Career Education Corporation’s 80+ schools around the world. His group strategically put in place a common worldwide infrastructure, including a common set of business applications, and a focused competency on how to integrate new acquisitions, and start up schools into this fast paced growth company’s technology.

He has provided leadership on the Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Zurich Insurance, and Sears, Roebuck accounts. In this role, Mr. McDonald is responsible for delivering client satisfaction in all aspects of information technology infrastructure and application development and support.

Joe Phillips was Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Integrys Energy Group through 2009. As VP and CIO, Joe supervised applications development, computer operations, information services, applied and emerging technology, telecommunications and network support, and database administration and security. Prior to this appointment, Joe was Vice President of Information Technology Services at Peoples Energy. He came to Peoples from Accenture in 2003. With 23 years in utility practice, he was promoted to partner with Accenture in 1990.
