The Future of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)

SIM Chicago is hosting the second segment of a two part series of breakfast meetings centered around HealthCare IT, on November 17, 2011. The spring 2011 topic educated attendees about the business case for Healthcare IT, and the promise of personalized healthcare and electronic medical records. It also enabled the attendees to hear more about what Chicago-land IT leaders and healthcare stakeholders are doing to advance healthcare IT in their part of the value chain.

The fall breakfast promises to be as engaging as the spring breakfast. At this meeting, we will be welcoming pharmaceutical and device companies, pharmacies, MD's and CIOs from Chicago-based companies to hear more about:

  • How pharma companies are ensuring the clinical effectiveness of drug therapy
  • The value of evidence based medicine-the state of EBM in the US
  • How the pharma and device companies drive lower costs of healthcare and improved access
  • The role that pharmacies play in ensuring medication adherence in order to save lives
  • How the Health Care Reform changes the game of how pharma companies and pharmacies save lives
  • The role that information technology plays to eliminate errors, improve access to clinical information and enable patient care
  • And much more..

Please join SIM Chicago on November 17th, 2011 for Part 2 of the two-part series at The Metropolitan Club. Jim Hart, Senior Vice President, Burwood Group will moderate the paneled discussion. We look forward to seeing you at the November 17th panelist breakfast.
