Categories and Dues

SIM offers individual, corporate, and academic institution memberships. All memberships run from January through December, and include:

• Networking: Local chapter meetings, conferences, roundtables and seminars.
• Knowledge Sharing: Working Group deliverables, Advanced Practices Council (APC) research, bi-monthly member eNewsletter, Webcasts and our online community, simnet.org.
• Education: Access to the SIM Regional Leadership Forum™, providing industry-specific training for future IT leaders.
• Advocacy: The collaborative "voice” of SIM on issues such as cyberspace security and software licensing.
• Industry Leadership: Access to peers who understand and manage similar challenges and issues.

Individual Membership

Individual Membership dues are billed annually on a calendar year basis and comprise both SIM Chicago dues and SIM International dues:

• Practitioner – $350 / year
• Not-for-profit or government practitioner or academic – $175 / year
• Regional Leadership Forum – $7,850 / year

Corporate Membership

SIM’s Corporate Memberships offers employers an opportunity to extend the benefits of SIM membership throughout their company, offering increased networking, education and idea exchange opportunities.

Enterprise Membership
Requires a minimum of 3 memberships (offers companies with at least 3 individual members, one free admission to one SIM Chicago event/member)

• Dues – $350 per member

Enterprise Advantage Membership
Requires a minimum of 3 memberships (offers companies with at least 3 individual members one free admission to one SIM Chicago event/member). Also includes:

• One (1) discounted registration to SIMposium, SIM’s annual conference
• Dues – $1,000 for SIMposium plus $350 per member

Enterprise Platinum Package
Requires a minimum of 3 memberships (offers companies with at least 3 individual members one free admission to one SIM Chicago event/member). Also includes:

• One (1) discounted registration to SIMposium, SIM’s annual conference
• One complimentary participation fee to the Regional Leadership Forum (Nine-month program; $8350 value)
• Dues – $7,000 for RLF, $1,000 for SIMposium plus $350 per member

Enterprise Premier Package
This package includes:

• Five (5) individual memberships (members may join different chapters)
• One (1) discounted registration to SIMposium, SIM’s annual conference
• One complimentary participation fee to the Regional Leadership Forum (Nine-month program; $8350 value)
• Advanced Practices Council: Participation by your CIO
• Dues – $25,500

Academic Membership

Academic Institution Membership
The Academic Institution program serves to strengthen the relationship between academia and senior information systems executives. This program offers membership for up to five individuals within an academic unit (departments, colleges, programs, etc.). It includes:

• Five (5) individual memberships
• One (1) discounted registration to SIMposium, SIM’s annual conference
• Five complimentary registrations at the annual pre-ICIS Academic Workshop
• Free SIM Working Group papers
• Dues – $1,000 for SIMposium plus $1,225 per institution (plus $175 per member)

Joint Academic Institution
The joint SIM Academic Institution and Association for Information Systems (AIS) Membership
comprises the same benefits as the Academic Institution membership and also includes:

• One complimentary registration for attendance at the annual AIS conference of choice
• Five individual memberships in AIS
• Five subscriptions to MIS Quarterly
• Dues - $3,475 per institution (plus $175 per member)

APC Individual Membership
Individual APC
Includes a seat on the Advanced Practices Council® (APC) and an individual At-Large Membership in SIM.
