John C. Moon

John C. Moon is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Johnson Outdoors Inc., a leading global outdoor recreational products company. Mr. Moon is responsible for the Company’s information technology function, and defining and implementing the company’s strategic use of information technology worldwide.
Prior to joining Johnson Outdoors, Mr. Moon enjoyed a successful 23 year career at Baxter International Inc. and Caremark International (a 2002 spin-off of Baxter) where he held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility before being named Baxter’s Chief Information Officer in 2000 and Corporate Vice President in 2002. Prior to joining Baxter, Mr. Moon held positions in the telecommunications and software industries.
Mr. Moon was named CIO of the Year in 2001 by the Association of Information Technology Professionals and was selected as a Premier 100 IT Leader by Computerworld Magazine in 2003.
Mr. Moon served as a Board member of the Global Healthcare Exchange, the leading internet trading exchange for the Healthcare industry from 2003 – 2006.
Mr. Moon earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, and holds a Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems from Northern Illinois University. He is an active member of the Society of Information Management and the Association of Information Technology Professionals.
