Richard Proszowski is Vice President Information Technologies and Chief Information Officer for Pactiv Corporation. Pactiv is a leader in the consumer and foodservice/food packaging markets it serves, with 2007 sales of over $3 billion. Pactiv's Hefty® brand is one of the nation’s most widely-recognized brands. Hefty® brand products include waste bags, slider storage bags, disposable tableware, and disposable cookware. At Pactiv, Mr. Proszowski is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s information technology function, including defining, directing and implementing the company’s strategic use of information technology worldwide.

Mr. Proszowski has enjoyed a career which has spanned both IT and business responsibilities over the last 28 years. Prior to joining Pactiv, Mr. Proszowski has held CIO and Vice President positions at Culligan International, Searle Pharmaceuticals and Handy Andy Home Improvement Centers. Prior responsibilities also included assignments in business development, strategic planning, and marketing management, in addition to a wide variety of detailed IT roles during a 10 year career at Baxter International.

Mr. Proszowski holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
