Tony McDonald Account Executive, Computer Sciences Corporation; past-Chairman, Society for Information Management, Chicago Chapter

Mr. McDonald joined Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as an Account Executive primarily focused on managing large, global technology outsourcing agreements. He has provided leadership on the Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Zurich Insurance, and Sears, Roebuck accounts. In this role, Mr. McDonald is responsible for delivering client satisfaction in all aspects of information technology infrastructure and application development and support.

Mr. McDonald joined CSC from Aon Corporation, where he was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IT at Aon’s Risk Services Division. Aon is a world leader in risk management, insurance brokerage, claims management, and human capital consulting services. Aon Risk Services division works with multinational firms to understand and reduce their risks. At Aon, McDonald was responsible for all global web-based customer facing systems, business intelligence, and industry specific applications.

Prior to Aon, Mr. McDonald was the President of PIXWireless, a division of cyberPIXIE. Chicago-based cyberPIXIE is a privately held company that provides visitor-based, wireless local area network (WLAN) solutions to telecommunications carriers, mobile service providers, Internet service providers, and Enterprise organizations. PIXWireless delivers wireless LAN solutions to the enterprise specializing in site surveys, project management, integration, and security utilizing products from cyberPIXIE as well as partners Cisco, Enterasys, and Symbol Technologies.

Prior to PIXWireless, McDonald was the vice president and chief information officer of Burns International, previously known as Borg Warner Security, a $1.5 billion leader in the security business. McDonald was appointed the program leader for the merger with Pinkerton in addition to his global CIO responsibilities.

Prior to joining Burns, McDonald served in senior management positions at Levy Restaurants and at Budget Rent A Car where he led the delivery of industry leading, award winning information systems.

Tony McDonald is a Past Chairman of the Chicago Chapter and was the Vice President, Membership on the International Board of the Society for Information Management (SIM) and was also the Co-Chairman of SIMposium in Chicago. SIM is the largest peer group of Information Systems professionals and is the “voice of the IT community.” SIM is dedicated to member development, networking, and community give-back.

McDonald holds an economics degree from Rutgers College; a masters in project management from Keller Graduate School; and a masters in business administration, information systems from Keller Graduate School.
