Business Leadership and Strategy

Strategy has been described by some as a mental tapestry of changing intentions that are used for harmonizing and focusing efforts as a basis for realizing some aim or purpose in an unfolding and often unforeseen world of many bewildering events and many contending interests. During time of rapid change this mental tapestry is by necessity based upon agility. And, now more than ever, agility is at the top of every company’s most wanted list.

SIM In The Suburbs is excited to present Michael Hugos, CIO at Large with Center for Systems Innovation. Please join your colleagues and friends for networking and breakfast as Michael Hugos presents a strategic framework for business and IT. Michael will discuss a framework that balances the need for efficiency along with the requirement to adapt quickly to new economic realities and evolving customer desires. Michael will share current business examples along with historical references as he presents a roadmap that companies can follow to become the agile enterprises that will thrive in these challenging times.

Michael is a recognized expert in business and IT agility and supply chain management. He won the CIO 100 Award in 2003 and 2005 along with the InformationWeek 500 Award in 2005. In 2006 he was selected for the Computerworld Premier 100 Award for career achievement. He earned his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and has authored several books including the best selling Essentials of Supply Chain Management. His latest book is Business Agility: Sustainable Prosperity in a Relentlessly Competitive World.
