Please join SIM Chicago at the Metropolitan Club in the Willis Tower for lunch on Thursday, October 29th. Ken O’Brien, Executive Vice President and CIO of RR Donnelley is our featured speaker. Mr. O’Brien’s topic is the Consumerization of IT - if you can't fight it..... He will discuss how RR Donnelley is dealing with everything from Social Networking and Twitter to 4G and management of mobile computing.
Ken O’Brien serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Chicago-based R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company, the largest provider of printing and print-related business services in the world, with approximately 60,000 employees, annual revenues of more than $11 billion, and nearly 650 locations around the globe.
Mr. O’Brien, 48 joined RR Donnelley in February, 2004 having previously served as Chief Information Officer for Moore Wallace North America, Inc. He began his career in 1983 as an F-16 Software Engineer for General Dynamics and then as a computer engineer on classified programs. His emphasis on developing secure networks and managing strategic innovation continued as he entered the financial services industry during the mid-1980’s, where he progressed through a number of assignments that culminated in 1993 with a role as Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Administration for then First Chicago Corporation. Mr. O’Brien joined the printing and information services industry with Wallace Computer Services in 1995
Mr. O’Brien graduated with an MBA from Texas Christian University and a BS in Computer Science from Hardin-Simmons University. He and his wife, Rhonda, have three children.

Guest Policy
All guests should be accompanied by a member. If your guest is a vendor or other IT service provider, we ask that you bring a non-member, senior level practitioner as a guest also.
If you make a reservation and need to cancel before the 48 hours cancellation period – you will receive a refund less a $10 processing fee, or if you wish, you can use your payment for another upcoming meeting.
If you made reservations and are unable to attend the meeting, please cancel within 48 hours of the meeting. Otherwise you are responsible for the registration fee and will be billed. Cancellations will only be accepted by FAX or email.
