CIOs are facing the challenges of maintaining operational excellence in an environment which includes complex technology and sourcing models matched up against increasing client demands. In 2009 under the leadership of Dan Hill, SVP and CIO, Exelon IT began to explore IT Operational Excellence in depth and in the process identified a number of different initiatives to further enhance IT Operational Excellence. Implementing a Human Performance Program (and associated training) is a key initiative which will help IT achieve its goal of operational excellence. Learn what human performance means and what Exelon IT is doing to reduce errors and to drive an increase in performance.

Daniel C. Hill is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Exelon Corporation where he is responsible for managing all aspects of information technology (IT) and telecom across the corporation. His focus is on leveraging the most effective technologies, processes and resources to help enable Exelon's business strategies and plans. Mr. Hill was named Vice President and CIO in May 2003 and was promoted to Senior Vice President in November 2004.

Professional History
Mr. Hill has over 25 years of experience with Exelon and ComEd, including a variety of technology management positions. Under his leadership, IT has achieved world-class service reliability levels and first quartile client satisfaction levels. Mr. Hill's concentration on operational excellence and driving strategy and architecture planning enables IT to offer more innovative solutions to Exelon's businesses. In his career, Mr. Hill has supported all of the major operating units at Exelon.

Mr. Hill was named one of Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders in 2007. Computerworld's Premier 100 IT Leaders Awards Program honors executives who show exemplary technology leadership in resolving pressing business problems.

Mr. Hill has served on the board of the Exelon Political Action Committee since 2002. Outside Exelon, Mr. Hill serves on the board of the Chicago Public Library Foundation, which is dedicated to partnering with the City of Chicago to enrich the collections and programs of the Chicago Public Library. He also serves as a member of the board of trustees for Dominican University, located in River Forest, Illinois. Dominican University is a private liberal arts university. Mr. Hill is a member of the Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors, which is committed to promoting innovation and economic growth and bringing the benefits of advancing technology to Chicagoans. Mr. Hill is a member of the Executives Club of Chicago, serving on the Technology Executive Committee. Since 2006, Mr. Hill has served as a judge for the annual Lumity Technology Leadership Awards. Lumity assists nonprofit organizations in achieving their missions by encouraging innovation, investment, and effective use of technology.

Education
Mr. Hill holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Lewis University in Illinois.

Family
Mr. Hill and his wife, Adrienne, live in Chicago, Illinois and have two married children and a grandchild.

All guests should be accompanied by a member. If your guest is a vendor or other IT service provider, we ask that you bring a non-member, senior level practitioner as a guest also.

If you make a reservation and need to cancel before the 48 hours cancellation period - you will receive a refund less a $10 processing fee, or if you wish, you can use your payment for another upcoming meeting.
If you made reservations and are unable to attend the meeting, please cancel within 48 hours of the meeting. Otherwise you are responsible for the registration fee and will be billed. Cancellations will only be accepted by FAX or email.
