Join SIM-Chicago for a special event that recognizes the best and brightest technology leaders in Chicago. In partnership with The Executives' Club of Chicago and AITP Chicago, SIM-Chicago is proud to present the recipients of the 2023 CIO of the Year Award, the 2023 CIO Innovator of the Year Award, the CIO Impact Award, and the 2023 CIO+ Award.
 
CIO of the Year
Since 1995, the top CIOs in the Chicagoland area have been recognized by being nominated by their peers and CEOs for the annual CIO of the Year award. 
 
CIO Innovator of the Year  
This award recognizes a CIO who has been especially innovative in his or her approach to producing business results and is exemplary for their change leadership and innovation contribution to their organization.
 
CIO Impact Award
This award recognizes the CIO that has measurably contributed to their organization's mission, revenue, customer satisfaction, or workforce by leveraging technology and implementing process improvements.
CIO+ Award
This award recognizes a CIO who has successfully expanded his or her current role into other business areas like Operations, Marketing, Sales, CEO role, etc., thus, broadening their impact on driving success for the overall business entity.

 

Keynote Speaker
Dr. Garry Cooper is the Co-Founder and CEO of Rheaply, a Chicago-based tech company that enables better visibility and utilization of their physical resources. He also serves on the boards of directors of P33 Chicago and 1871 and Northwestern's Master of Product Design and Management program. In addition to being a founding partner at LongJump Ventures, of which he is a founding partner. Previously, Dr. Cooper served on the faculty of Northwestern University and facilitated supply chain and performance improvement for enterprise businesses at Ernst & Young. He holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Northwestern University, a certificate in management from the Kellogg School of Management, and a BS & BA in mathematics and chemistry from Indiana University.
